The Wireless Institute (WI) collects faculty, staff, and students across the University who are engaged in wireless innovation and education. WI is led by a Director and an Executive Committee who constitute additional sub-committees in various areas. Collaborations with other offices on campus provide a single portal to the wireless industry and relevant government agencies.

J. Nicholas Laneman has served as Founding Director of the Wireless Institute since January 2010.  The Director leads the Institute and serves as the primary point of contact for its major activities. The Director is also a member of the Executive Committee described below and the de facto supervisor of all research, technical, and administrative staff supported by the Institute.

Executive Committee

Barry Keating and Christian Poellabauer serve as members of the Executive Committee.  The Executive Committee is the main leadership body of the Institute, and it is formally responsible for all administrative decisions and University reporting. The Executive Committee meets quarterly to conduct major Institute business and maintains accurate records of discussions and decisions for review by Institute members and the University administration.

Administrative Coordinator

Christine Broadbent serves as the lead administrative assistant to WI faculty, staff, and students.
