Gopalan Returns to Alma Mater

Notre Dame Alumnus RaviKiran Gopalan returned to his alma mater to present A Data-Driven Approach to Wireless Communications as part of the Wireless Institute Seminar Series. Gopalan provided a unique perspective for students and faculty as his career has transitioned from mature industry to two start-ups. He talked about the exciting prospects at Aira Technologies, and invited the students to apply for internships and full-time positions. 

Gopalan met with several graduate students. “Ravi has extensive experience in both the big tech and start-up spaces, and this blended background gives him unique insights into the wireless industry. Not only can Ravi speak confidently on emerging technological trends, but he also has a comprehensive understanding of the various operational challenges in the industry, said Ph.D. Candidate Nico Garcia. For this reason, Ravi’s perspective is particularly invaluable for entrepreneurial-minded engineers like myself, for whom the broader telecom ecosystem often seems convoluted and difficult to approach.”
