Poellabauer Promoted to Associate Professor

Also, an associate director and founding member of the University’s Wireless Institute (WI), Poellabauer’s expertise spans areas such as wireless/mobile networks, distributed real-time systems, resource management, and sensor networks. In the WI he will be focusing on a variety of projects, including the development of reliable and efficient programming in sensor networks and a wireless testbed, NDMesh.

Poellabauer received the Early Faculty CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation in 2006. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers

A Notre Dame faculty member since 2004, Poellabauer received his doctorate in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology (2004) and his master’s, also in computer science, from the Vienna University of Technology (1998).
