Abstract:
I will give a brief introduction to Neural Networks, according to a Stanford open course “CS231n: Convolutional Neural Networks for Visual Recognition”, and the Google “TensorFlow and deep learning” workshop and some other related materials. The topics discussed in the presentation include single neuron modeling, Neural Network architectures and some methods to train and improve the Neural Networks. An interesting application for generating image descriptions will be studied: Convolutional Neural Networks can perform the tasks for detection and classification of the objects in images, and Recurrent Neural Networks can generate the text describing the objects.
