It’s a Wrap! – AWaRE Researchers showcased their research at the Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium
July 24, 2024The Summer Undergraduate Research Symposium at the University of Notre Dame was hosted today, and featured five SpectrumX – An NSF Spectrum Innovation Center and ND Wireless Institute students supported through the Advanced Wireless Research Experiences (AWaRE) Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program.
Students presented their final research posters and spoke to attendees about their projects, including:
- Raghad Elgamal worked with Dr. Nick Laneman on “Wireless Signal Measurement Approach For 6G Spectrum Allocation.”
- Arav Mukherjee worked with Monisha Ghosh on “Development of the SigCap App for Automated Spectrum Sharing Using Machine Learning.”
- Jincy Njenga worked with Monisha Ghosh on “Essential Characteristics for Determining the Indoor or Outdoor Environment of Devices on the Radio Spectrum.”
- Sebastian Pirela worked with Nick Laneman on “Measurement and Analysis of Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Signals.”
- Carl Xu worked with Bert Hochwald and Randy Herban on “Democratizing Radio Wave Exploration: Enhancing Accessibility through Compatibility and Visualization.”
