Wireless Institute Student Summer Showcase 2013 (WISSS)

CHRISTINE BROADBENT LANDAW

On behalf of the WISSS 2013 committee, we would like to invite you to submit a poster or demo to demonstrate your research at the first annual wireless showcase of the students, by the students and for the students!  Inter-disciplinary collaborations are encouraged!

If you can create a poster or demo summarizing your research, come and showcase it in WISSS 2013!  We encourage entry regardless of your degree progress.

WISSS 2013 is designed to provide a cross-disciplinary venue for student researchers to interact and exchange research results.  WISSS 2013 solicits submissions of abstracts on wireless technology, economics, and regulatory policy that will be evaluated for their potential to stimulate interesting discussions and exchange of ideas.

The showcase will be held in the Stinson-Remick atrium on Thursday, July 25 from 1 to 4 pm.  We will begin at 1:00 pm in Room 212.  All participants will be given a full slot in a “one-minute madness session” during the showcase to advertise their work in front of the audience.  From there all will transition to the atrium on the first floor for the poster session and light refreshments.  Any demos will be available for viewing at the same time in Room 213.  Judging will take place immediately following the poster session and the top three posters or demos will receive awards.

To register for the showcase, both poster and demo participants must submit an abstract of their work in 1-2 pages (font size 12pt).  Posters will be 36×48 and template will be provided.

Please note that the production of the posters will be covered by WISSS 2013!
